Everyday, blogs are created. Everyday competition is getting harder and harder. The things is “How can I stand out“?. Every bloggers or website owner is having this question on their mind. Solving this simple question is very crucial.
I have some tips and techniques on “How to Market your blog” the practical way..
1. Personalize your domain. Get your own domain name and stand out. Dominate that name. Own it. Don’t go to hosted sites that will not give you your own domain.
2. Get user friendly Platform. Get site or blogging platform that will allow you customize the site or blog totally. Stay away to those who limit you potential. WordPress is my recommendation.
3. Create you own Design. If you really want to stand out. Create your own image. Create your own blog design. The cooler. The better.
4. Keywords within your niche.Keyword research is a heck of a job, but that is the main recipe of your blog. Research keywords that is related to your Niche or what interest you. List all of the keywords for preferences. I recommend Google adwords tool, keyword discovey and Wordtracker.
5. On Page Optimization. Make use of the H1-H6 tags. Get an SEO friendly theme. Use some plugins for SEO and build you links within your keywords. (This SEO thing is better explained in another post)
6. Automate Pings and Trackback. This things can be done in the setting. It also helps in SEO and link building.
7. Create Feeds. This will help you in getting visitors to subscribe in your blog.
8. Google Sitemap. Create a Google sitemap account. This will send you post in your blogs to search engine primarily google.
9. Create list of Connections. Build a list of blogs and sites. This blogs and sites must also be related to your Niche or topic. This will help in getting backlinks to your blog or site.
10. Spread it. Submit your RSS feed and post to RSS directories and blog/search directories for more indexing and backlink.
11. Link Building. Build link as a habit. This activity must be your campaign. Consistent link building will help your blog ranking go up.
12. Track you progress. Go to Google Analytic and track your blog. This will help you track how many times your blog is visited with a specific post.
13. Comment. Go to blogs related to your blogs niche. Give a quality comment on one their popular post and maybe they will check who was the commenter of that quality comment.
14. Post Frequently. New bloggers fail on this one. Update your blog with quality and high value post everday. This will help your blog stay fresh and keep going.
15. Credit the Source. If you are inspired by other blogs and make them as your references. Give them a credit link. One link is not that bad to give.

With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright violation? My website has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my authorization. Do you know any ways to help reduce content from being ripped off? I’d certainly appreciate it.
@Kandy – I know that you can report them, but you can send them a message concerning your appeal. Try using the copyscape service to find more of your content that are ripped of from your site. As for me, I really don’t have any problem. I include my personal touch in all of my post. Good luck to you. I hope it helps.
